BACK TO SQUARE ONE!

My second design project, the first one that we built digitally and the project that made me fall in love not just with design in general but also with branding. Little thing about me: I’m obsessed with branding in interior design. This will show exactly what I mean. 

The only thing our professor asked us for is selecting a company and designing the interior of the office and conference room. While others selected clothes which i thought about it too i want to go personal and something that I really like. Let me tell you I love chocolate more than buying clothes! So that is when I decided to pick a chocolate brand, not a common one. After some research I decided THEO. They used organic ingredients for their products as well as a fair trade to their farmers. I went to buy one and tried them and of course Maria fell in love not just with the  flavor but also with their brand. – that but the way they launch a new brand this year and it is amazing!!!

So, how do I start the design process? INSPIRATION!! Maria on pinterest 24/7.

Here are some pictures that were inspired in the process. Plants were my first goal  so that way I can bring the nature of cocoa bean trees to the inside. Textures was my priority for this project because the beans, trees, leaves and chocolate have different textures and I want to bring it throughout the materials in the office.

We have two small spaces for this project: conference room and executive office. 

For the conference room I want it to feel warm and homey so people don’t feel they are in a boring meeting-  Reason why I decided on a nice, walnut, patterned wall. Brown concrete in the flooring and  grey concrete table combine with some warm chairs fabrics and giving it to the space a touch of colors with the burgundy chairs – the balance? Half chairs cream color and other half the POP of color! Little detail? Rattan!! It is a material that reminds  me of nature (and home) which I decided to bring in the pendant lamps for that unique touch! 

The executive office I want it to keep the textures in place, but giving the space more light through the materials. Reason why in the office I decided on grey concrete flooring! Of course without missing the pop of color on the principal chair!!

DE VUELTA AL PRINCIPIO! 

Quería comenzar esta página web con uno de mis últimos proyectos pero si les soy sincera algo me decía que no era lo correcto. Así que estuve pensando y empecé a ver todos los proyectos que he hecho desde el comienzo de mi carrera y decidí empezar con el primero lo cual es también uno de mis favoritos. 

THEO CHOCOLATE

Mi segundo proyecto en cuanto a diseño de interiores, el primero que diseñamos digitalmente y que me hizo entender –  no solo el amor que le tengo a diseño de interiores sino también a cómo representar la marca a través de el espacio. Si hay algo que quiero que sepan es que me encanta que en mis diseños se vea claramente la marca que estoy representando. 

Lo único que la profesora nos pidió fue escoger una compañía y diseñar el espacio de el salon de conferencia y la oficina de el gerente. Cada quien escogió algo relacionado a sus gustos así que yo decidí irme por el mismo camino, bastante personal y algo que realmente me gusta y disfruto.. El chocolate. Después de algunas investigaciones en marcas de chocolate, decidí irme con Theo Chocolate. ellos usan ingredientes orgánicos para sus productos así como también tienen una buena relación con sus trabajadores. Cuando fui a buscarlos para probarlos no sólo me encanto su sabor sino también su marca como tal, todo el diseño en general!. Cabe destacar que hace poco renovaron su marca y les quedo espectacular! 

Entonces.. Como empecé este proceso del diseño? BUSCANDO INSPIRACIÓN! Maria usando pinterest 24/7. 

El uso de plantas era mi mayor meta, de esa manera traería el ambiente de afuera dentro de las oficinas.. El uso de texturas era mi prioridad debido a las semillas de cacao, los árboles, y el chocolate así que decidí traer esa mezcla de texturas a través de distintos materiales. 

Fueron dos espacios los que cree para este proyecto, el salon de conferencia lo cual quise que se sintiera más cálido así las personas no se sintieran que iban a una reunión aburrida. Por esa razón el patrón en la pared grande con un color de madera cálido. Concreto color marrón para el piso, y  ese toque de color que hacía falta en las sillas. Para crear un balance, mitad de las sillas son color crema y la otra mitad color vino. Pequeños detalles?? El uso de Rattan que es usado bastante en la naturaleza, decidí traerlo a el espacio a través de las lámparas para ese toque único. 

La oficina del gerente la hice con colores de tonos más fríos, sin embargo decidí darle ese toque de color con la silla de el gerente color naranja. Por supuesto no podia faltar algunas plantas en el espacio para darle ese toque orgánico y cálido. 

Definitivamente uno de mis proyectos favoritos, y sin duda alguna el que me hizo abrir los ojos que esto era lo que definitivamente quería estudiar!
